Hibernation roundup

Sorry for the delay in between posts despite hibernation which should mean more time to blog but in this case that would not be true. Since my lost posting we've been busy getting the House on the Hill ready for the invasion of the cousins. We found out that the boys were coming a day earlier than we planned which meant we had to get the household ready. The quick pick up was not going to be allowed which means we had to clean (despite the nice weather outside). Despite the best efforts to procrastinate the house eventually got to a status of clean (albeit for a short time).

To help get the house clean we had to find a replacement for the vacuum cleaner. Here is a picture of what we settled on:Doesn't this look like a real winner?
Parent2 said after the first vacuuming, "The cleaner makes it appear we have a new carpet." I might have said the cleaner made the carpet look less worn.

The boys arrived this afternoon and the first task was play outside enjoying the nice spring weather. After everyone got the initial energy out we made tie-dyed t-shirts. Sheepish might have done a better job with her dying of the tanks but it entertained the kids. Pictures will be forthcoming. We ate a lot of food for dinner and the kids played some more before going to bed very late on the CamMad clock. In fact, Child2 went to sleep during the final half-hour of Survivor despite no nap. Can we say "conditions are right for a meltdown tomorrow"?

I keep telling myself 36 more school days and I can enjoy these types of days more often....

Almost sounds like summer camp...with a better vacuum cleaner. Enjoy
