Cool Olympic Event
Child1 found womens' hockey today. The first response was "Look, she has a bow on her helmet." It is great that we have a society that girls can appreciate women participating in Olympic events. Even though the response was innocent it definitely leads to a bigger picture of equality. The 'rents are not necessarily going to encourage Child1 to play hockey. $$$$, 5 AM or 10 PM hockey practices, and traveling all over looking for rink time are not my versions of fun.

I'm all for women doing whatever it is they want to do and all, but given my recent "dental nightmare," Auntie Sheepie is also voting NO on the hockey.
